There is no straight forward miles.
A car that has 20k could be beat to hell and a car that has 70k could have been babied but driven a lot on the highway.
It really just depends on the car. If some way a dealership could provide a maintenence record for a vehicle then you could base your decision off of that. Ask them for a carfax report.
With cars of that mileage you could also ask if the vehicle has had is scheduled maintence for how ever many miles it has.
    Good Luck,

Mileage is dependant on the year of the car.
12,000 to 15,000 miles a year is considered average. So a car that is 3 years old should have around 35,000 - 45,000 miles on it.
Mileage is a good guide but it is not the only thing, nor is it the most important thing to consider when purchasing a used car. The overall condition of the car is the most important determining factor. In other words a car with 65,000 miles on it that is immaculate is a better car than one with 40,000 miles that has not been well maintained.
As long as the miles aren’t considered excessive (more than 25,000 -30,000 per year) I would not be too concerned about mileage.

Mileage is a consideration for sure, but other things you might ask are
Maintenance records ( was oil and filters changed on regular intervals)
Was the mileage mostly hi-way or in town? You can usually tell by the wear patterns on the seats and floor carpet.
Does the car idle smoothly, any transmission noises when shifting into gear or when it shifts auto from one gear to the next?
If you don’t feel confident in your judgement, most small mechanic shops will gladly send a guy over to drive it and give you an oppinion for a really small fee if they charge you at all.

It’s always a good idea to have any used car inspected by a mechanic before you buy unless it’s almost new and has low mileage. Some cars with 120K miles are in great condition and will go another 120K if maintained properly; other cars with only 50K can be junk.
