1st questions is does he have a clear title?
That means is the vehicle paid for…..if the answer is yes…then have him sign the title to you so that you are the “owner” and then you can sell it with relative ease…
If the answer is no…well then you cant sell it without having enough money to pay off the lender and getting a title….then having the title signed to the buyer…then you can send him his money…
So in short…pray that it is paid off and things will go pretty easily.

i’m not sure what document u need but i think you can sell your freinds car because he asked you too and either you can make a deal with him like since i’m selling the car, I get some of the money or I get to drive your car. He needs to transfer the title to you, so you can transfer it to whomever you sell it to, and to transfer the insurance. If he leaves the car with you, without transferring the title, you can not legally sell it to someone else.
